Interested in a comfortable gaming chair at an affordable price?

Play haha. is a young brand offering gamer chairs at very attractive prices, without compromising on seating comfort.

Their strong point is that they offer excellent value for money and…

For gamers who want value for money!

I’ve got a big comparison of cheap gaming chairs here.

So, throughout this review, I’m going to tell you why it’s interesting.

Why it’s not.

Who it’s suitable for, and you’ll find out, so stay tuned!

Which gamer does the play haha. correspond to?

Play Haha.

The Play haha. will suit you if you spend a few hours on your computer or console (I’d say about 3-4) and…

You’re looking for a comfortable chair to accompany you during those hours.

If you’re really a hardcore gamer and spend 8+ hours a day, I’d advise you to invest in this gamer chair.

Physically, if you’re over 1m80 tall, you’ll be fine, but the headrest will clearly get in your way.

So my recommendation is 1m40-1m80 and no more than 150kg.

Good points:

Negative points:

The play haha. is equipped with high-density foam

The big advantage of this chair is that, even though it’s affordable, they’ve used high-density foam!

Thanks to the high-density foam, your seat will remain comfortable for the life of your chair.

And why is that?

Well, because high-density foam returns to its original shape very quickly, so there’s no vat effect!

I did, however, take a few points off, because as is often the case…

They didn’t mention the exact density, and that’s the kind of information that’s good to know.

Side cheeks

The side cheeks are not very pronounced (the sides are basically not raised).

This will allow a wider variety of physiques to settle in and feel well supported.

Personally, I prefer to be supported…

Because it means I don’t have to sit any old way on my chair. I used to have a normal office chair, straight up, and…

I’d end up with my legs on the armrests because I didn’t like any position…

Rocking-chair

This is one of the things I love most about gaming: I rarely see a chair without a tilt mechanism.

The rocking mechanism (which you can adjust with the wheel under the seat) is what’s going to keep your back from hurting.

Why do you ask?

If you sit on a fixed chair without a rocking mechanism, your lumbar vertebrae will take it all.

Whereas the rocking mechanism, by moving, helps to distribute pressure in different places and…

Your back won’t feel like it’s in sheathing mode 24/7!

Quality gas springs, but class not specified

Now it’s losing stars again…

Because the gas strut (which raises/lowers the chair) is of good quality.

BUT

They don’t specify whether it’s a class 4 or not.

Generally speaking, they always use class 4.

Better spring force, so no problem raising the chair once it’s down, and it’s cheap anyway.

But as it’s not specified here, I’m taking away my stars for the lack of transparency.

Metal frame, reinforced feet

The best part is the metal frame.

It’s a guarantee of quality and strength, so you can be sure your chair will last and not break.

The foot cross is reinforced, but I have to say it’s made of plastic, so it loses a star.

It’s less attractive and less resistant, even if it’s rare to break it and there’s obviously no problem with that.

Fixed armrests

I’m a bit mean to give it just one star, given the price, but that’s my opinion.

Having armrests is great for resting your elbows and avoiding putting too much pressure on your shoulders.

But the fact that they’re not height-adjustable means…

You won’t be able to adjust them to the height of your desk (the best ergonomic position).

Well, if you’re on a console (or if, as I’ve already seen, you put your elbows on the desk) it won’t make much difference.

Good point:

They’re padded with sponge, so there’s no risk of getting red elbows at the end of a gaming session!

Sport bucket seat

I’m used to this type of design, and for my taste it’s banal, but…

Much less than a normal office chair, and shaped like a sports car bucket seat.

Its real asset lies in the multiple colors available.

Blue, black and red, which you can easily match to your set-up/room/house.

Last but not least, I can see that the brand pays attention to the finishing touches, since on the back you’ll find the brand logo – good work!

Fabric and imitation leather upholstery

As for the fabric, it’s breathable mesh, and since it’s placed where your body rests:

You won’t sweat!

The other areas are made of imitation leather to give a slightly more premium feel.

That’s a big advantage over all-simili armchairs, which make you sweat a lot in summer.

The fabric is well made, just be careful not to stain it – it’s always a problem to get a stain out of fabric.

The imitation leather parts are also good, and as they’re not rubbing areas…

You have even less risk of it peeling off!

No cushions offered

For this kind of price, it’s normal.

Especially since they’ve integrated a curvature at the bottom of the chair (the natural curvature of your lumbar).

So a cushion would be superfluous, as would the integrated headrest.

And this option is free, unlike cushions.

In theory, thanks to this, the natural curvature of your back and neck is already respected.

I’m still giving it 0 stars, as my aim is to compare chairs, so it’s one less item to offer compared with the others.

Clean seams, but finishing touches could be better

The seams are tight (but not too tight), even and thick, so you won’t have any problems with the seams.

BUT…

What did they have in mind when they put a big white thread like that all over the chair?

I guess it’s for style, but I think it looks really cheap.

I think a black thread would have looked much better.

Stable, heavy-duty polyurethane castors

The castors are made of polyurethane.

This is common to virtually all gamer chair castors.

It’s a material that provides strength and glide.

But while they’re strong and hard-wearing…

If your wish is to have a chair that rolls smoothly, I recommend “roller” type wheels.

They don’t slip as much as roller wheels.

But if you just need them for normal use, don’t worry, you won’t notice the difference.

Backrest not adjustable

Quite normal in this price range, but nevertheless regrettable: it doesn’t recline.

It’s a nice option because you can nap, read, watch movies…

But you can always do that from the comfort of your bed (or the sofa at home) and keep the chair for gaming/work!

Easy to adjust

Under the seat, you’ll find a lever which, when pushed up or down, raises/lowers the chair.

Pulling it to the left or right locks/unlocks the tilting mechanism.

Finally, the large knob on the underside of the seat allows you to adjust the tilting system to suit your weight.

Easy to assemble in 30 minutes

In 30 minutes it will be assembled and if I may give you a little tip:

When assembling the armrests, don’t screw them all the way in directly, but leave a little play.

They’ll be easier to assemble that way, and assembly will be a pleasure!

What’s more: you don’t need any tools, the wrench for screwing in the screws is included in the package.

Other opinions from other gamers

For you, I’ve taken it a step further by scouring the internet (and every description) to give you a mix of customer feedback.

The Play haha. is reputed to be well-made, and the design is much appreciated, especially the little addition of the logo on the back of the chair!

What I’d like to point out is that…

Although some people over 1m80 don’t mind having a headrest that’s too low…

I’d advise you to be careful and not to buy it if you’re over 1m80 tall.

The best thing about it, in addition to its comfort, is its very affordable price and well-finished upholstery.

It’s a good product, but one to avoid if you’re too tall.

The Songmics OBG62B! Fixed armrests, fixed backrest, high-density foam and maximum weight of 150kg.

Basically, it’s very similar to the Play Haha. The real difference is that the brand is better known, and therefore a little more expensive.

Where can I buy the Play haha. ?

As a gamer, I know how hard it is to find a chair with…

Good value for money when you’re looking for a bargain, and it’s also hard to keep up with the times when they’re releasing new chairs all the time.

Thanks to the fact that it doesn’t have an e-commerce site, and doesn’t spend a lot of money on marketing, Play Haha…

A comfortable chair at an affordable price, plus high-density foam!
