Are you big or tall and looking for top-of-the-range?
The Vertagear PL6000 is perfect for tall people looking for an ergonomic, sturdy and comfortable gaming chair.
The Vertagear brand specializes in the manufacture of gaming chairs.
It also produces a number of chair accessories (e.g. LEDs), always of the highest quality.
They are often used in the world of e-sports.
I’m now going to give you a full description so you can check if it’s right for you!
Sommaire
It’s aimed at gamers who spend a lot of their time on console/computer games, and who therefore…
Need a durable, comfortable chair to enjoy their games even more.
However, the main advantage of this chair is that it is suitable for tall people.
If this isn’t the case for you, you’ll find a chair of similar quality in my top list of the best comfortable gaming chairs.
And if you don’t intend to use it regularly, I’d recommend saving your money on a budget gaming chair.
What size/weight do I need?
To sit comfortably in the vertagear pl6000, you’ll need to be between 1.80 and 2.07 m tall and no more than 160 kg.

Clearly, this chair has been created with durability and comfort as its #1 objective.
High resilience means that it will return to its original shape very quickly, ensuring that you’ll feel like you’re on cloud nine every day.
Which is all the more important as this is a chair for taller people!
The only detail that will lose it half a star is that the exact density is not specified.
There are gaming chairs that often have too pronounced side cheeks, making them uncomfortable for taller people.
The Vertagear PL6000, on the other hand, has made a good compromise, and it’s “neither too much nor too little”.
You’ll be well supported – just imagine a sports car seat.
They’re super-comfortable, and hold you well, aren’t they?
Now imagine the same kind of seat specially designed for tall people…
And there you have the vertagear PL6000!
Since the vertagear PL6000 is designed for regular use, it features a tilting function.
This allows the backrest and seat to follow your movements to…
Protect your back and make sure you’re always comfortable and at ease when you’re sitting.
The jack is what controls the spring force that raises/lowers the chair.
A good actuator is also important, as a large part of the chair rests on it.
On the Vertagear PL6000, the actuator is very well made and solid.
The only drawback is that they don’t indicate the class of the actuator.
A steel frame was very important to ensure the chair’s sturdiness. Especially as this chair is designed for large people.
I’m not disappointed, as steel is known for its great strength.
Especially as this is the first time I’ve seen it on a gaming chair: the base is made of heavy metal.
It’s a special metal designed to be even stronger than metal.
And it works: it can withstand up to 200kg!
To complete the picture, this chair features 4D adjustable armrests.
These will enable you to adjust their height.
Ideally, the angle between your elbows and your desk should be around 90°, which is good for your shoulders and increases your comfort.
You’ll also be able to adjust their width.
Super important, given that not everyone has the same shoulder width.
And when your shoulders are too wide, the only way to have useful armrests on which to rest is to be able to adjust them!
They’re also tilt-adjustable, so you can adjust them to suit the orientation of your arms.
Last but not least, they can be adjusted from front to back, allowing you to get even closer to your desk than with a normal chair.
In terms of design, the first thing you’ll notice and be pleased to see is that it inspires solidity.
But even though it’s huge…
It’s not just the sturdiness of the chair that counts.
It’s also gorgeous, and comes in a wide range of colors (even camouflage and a beautiful black and white)!
I think the brand has perfectly combined the “solid” and huge appearance with the possibility of adapting it to the colors of your setup.
Once again, this is the first time I’ve seen this type of coating they call “PUC”, which…
Is a clever mix between PVC and polyurethane leather (leather crust coated with polyurethane) which is a type of imitation.
Why is it good?
PVC is vastly more durable than any simili.
So they mixed PVC to benefit from its durability, but left the imitation to benefit from its softness and easy-care properties!
A winning combo!
What I really liked was that they offered cushions with the chair, but with memory foam! (Great for accessories!)
The neck cushion is great for keeping your head snug and comfortable (it respects the curve of your neck).
The lumbar cushion does the same, but for your lower back.
This will enable you to play longer, as you’ll be sitting much more comfortably.
Generally speaking, gaming chairs are almost always finished in plastic, and here the vertagear PL600 is no exception to the rule.
You won’t have any particular problems, just that it would have been nicer to have metal armrest covers, for example.
The seams are neat (tight, regular) and the thread will take on the color of the chair you’ve chosen for a stylish effect.
The castors on the Vertagear PL6000 are Penta RS1 Caster!
They roll very well and are suitable for all types of floor.
They’re made of polyurethane, which is a good material for castors, and their color changes according to the color of the chair you choose.
The Vertagear PL6000 can be tilted up to 140°, which corresponds to an almost horizontal position.
This will be very useful when watching a film or waiting for a download.
They could have done better with a recline of up to 180°, but…
I think the seat would have lost stability, given its robustness, and 140° is already more than enough.
The armrests can be adjusted using the knob on the outside of the armrest.
Under the seat, on the left, there’s a crank that adjusts the chair’s tilting tension according to your weight.
You can also lock/unlock the rocking chair mechanism by pushing it up or down.
On the right you have the same thing, but to tilt your chair backwards.
Assembly will take less than 20 minutes, as the chair is already pre-assembled.
The screws are already in place, and all that’s left to do is fit the parts together and screw.
They couldn’t have made it any easier.
For you, I’ve collected the opinions of other people who own the Vertagear PL6000.
Overall, its comfort is appreciated, and people weighing 140kg and measuring 1m85 feel very comfortable in it, and are very happy with their chair.
There is some play on the armrests, and this is a recurring problem, but it’s not very disturbing.
The straps can tend to deform the PUC if they’re not properly fastened.
Each cushion is memory-formed, and there’s almost unanimous support for them, as they provide a great deal of extra comfort.
You’ll be able to keep it for a long time, as it’s very sturdy and hardly wears at all.
The seat and backrest are firm, which is perfect for protecting your back.
The Arozzi Verona Pro V2, with its 2D adjustable armrests, high-density foam, supports up to 130kg and its backrest reclines up to 180°.
It’s recommendable, but much smaller than the PL6000.
Read the Arozzi Verona Pro V2 review.
The Nitro Concepts S300! 3D adjustable armrests, high-density cold foam, backrest that swivels up to 135° and supports weights of up to 135kg.
It’s a good choice if you don’t need the colossal size of the Vertagear PL6000 and can make do with a slightly smaller chair.
Read my review of the Nitro Chair.
The Noblechairs EPIC, which also has 4D armrests, reclines up to 135°, is made of high-resilience cold foam and can bear a weight of up to 120kg. It’s a very good chair, though not quite as top-notch in terms of size.

Finding a top-of-the-range, ergonomic gaming chair for tall people has always been a complicated business…
Because chair manufacturers often focus on “lambda” profiles.
The Vertagear, with its high-resilience foam, 4D adjustable armrests, gigantic dimensions and rock-solid sturdiness, is a very good choice.
It’s a product I recommend you buy by clicking on the button below, which will take you to a site you can trust, and delivery is generally fast.
