This is a common feature of high-end gaming chairs.
It means you’ll keep your chair much longer.
That’s because it means the seat and backrest won’t sag over time.
What’s more, as well as keeping your chair for longer, it’ll also be much more comfortable, because…
If it sags, it’s practically useless and no longer pleasant to sit on.
Because you end up feeling the bars of the chair (and low-density foams are legion in low-end gaming chairs).
Nevertheless, I’ve taken away one star, because although it’s high-density and very well made…
I don’t like the fact that klim didn’t give the exact density in kg/m3, I’m quibbling a bit, it’s true.
This is common to most gaming chairs:
The side cheeks of the backrest and seat “stick out” a little from the chair so that you’re held securely in them and can stand properly.
However, the great advantage of the klim is that the side cheeks are neither too pronounced (which would have been annoying if you had broad shoulders) nor absent (in which case you’d have no support at all).
The real comfort factor for your back is often the chair’s tilting mechanism (of course, some are better than others).
The chair’s rocking mechanism is what makes the backrest (and sometimes the seat) follow your movements or not when you’re sitting.
This takes the strain off your back and avoids putting too much pressure on it.
This chair is very good at this, and you can also adjust the tilting “resistance” (depending on your weight) via the wheel on the underside of the chair.
You can also block the tilting mechanism to keep the seat static, but…
I wouldn’t recommend it – it’s a bad idea for your back.
The gas spring is what raises or lowers your chair.
So it has to be well-built so you don’t have to worry about it, and it has to have good spring force.
On this gaming chair, it’s very well made.
This is easily verifiable, as the up and down force is perfect and beyond reproach.
Nevertheless, I don’t really like the fact that they don’t specify the class of the actuator, so I’ve withdrawn one star.
EDIT: All’s well that ends well, Klim saw the review by chance on twitter and was quick to reply, telling me that the gas cylinder is a class 4 cylinder, so top of the range!
You probably already know…
Steel is the strongest material for a chair, and stainless steel prevents rusting for an even longer service life.
So it’s a guarantee of strength and durability that the entire structure of the chair is made of stainless steel.
When it comes to ergonomics, the Klim™ Esports gaming chair couldn’t be better.
Armrests adjustable in 4 dimensions are the maximum possible and the best of the best.
You’ll be able to fully adapt the chair to your body.
So when it comes to ergonomics, you’re at the top of your game.
The Klim esports gaming chair has a very attractive design that takes its inspiration from sports cars.
This is what gives it a very “gamer” feel, while at the same time having a really “strong” side. Just looking at the Klim, it’s impossible to say that it doesn’t exude solidity!
Nevertheless, I find that this very solid air makes it a little less pretty and gives it a very “angular” look, but that’s just a detail.
The design remains very elaborate, with the Klim logo and brand embroidered on the top of the chair, both front and back.
And it’s quite rare to have a brand that also embroiders the logo on the back.
By the way, depending on the color you choose, the logo will also be embroidered on the cushions (so all colors except black).
The chair’s upholstery is made entirely of premium PU leather (split leather or polyurethane-coated fabric) treated against wear and tear.
What does this mean in practice?
Let me give you a quick example:
Have you ever had a faux-leather chair that ended up completely torn, chipped, with all the white fabric showing underneath, to the point where it was horribly ugly and uncomfortable?
Well, thanks to the range of imitation leather used for the klim esports, that’s not going to happen to you.
It holds up impeccably over time.
Another great thing about the klim esports is that it comes with a lumbar cushion and a neck cushion for added comfort.
The first cushion is positioned at the sacro-lumbar level, and is designed to preserve the natural curvature of your back (without it, you’re likely to get a sore lower back very quickly).
The second cushion is designed to be placed in the curve of your neck to support it and increase your comfort.
The seams are impeccable, tight but not too tight, and solid.
I only found one fault with them: in the colored versions, they use the same thread, white for example, to make the whole contour of the chair…
Which gives the impression that they didn’t have the budget to change the color of the thread according to the color of the material.
I think I’m quibbling a little on this detail, since everything else on the chair is impeccable.
Otherwise, the finish is much better than on most gaming chairs, and the covers don’t look as “cheap” as I usually see on almost all chairs.
If you’re used to chairs with castors that don’t reach 1 meter when you’re rolling, you’re going to be delighted by the quality of these castors.
They’re superbly fluid, and won’t catch on any type of floor.
The backrest tilts back up to 160°, which corresponds to an almost reclining position.
Klim could have done better with a 180° recline, but frankly I don’t see the point.
You’ll see that being able to recline to 160° is more than enough!
Because from 90 to 160* you’re bound to find a perfect position for playing, reading, napping or watching a movie!
The nice thing about sitting in your gaming chair is that you don’t have to get up to adjust it every time you want to change position.
This gaming chair is perfect in this respect: under the left-hand side of the chair you’ll find the lever that locks/unlocks the tilt system.
Under the right-hand side of the chair you’ll find the lever for raising/lowering the chair.
On the right-hand side of the seat you’ll also find the lever for adjusting the backrest angle.
Finally, on the edge of each armrest you’ll find a little knob that lets you adjust their height (and the rest of the functions for adjusting them are very simple:
Just move them with a little effort.
This is one of the quickest chairs to assemble, because there’s so little to do: it can be assembled in 15 minutes.
For you, I’ve reviewed what’s being said on the web about this chair.
It’s generally highly praised for the quality of the seat and backrest comfort, as well as the cushions that can be perfectly adjusted to the right size.
The side bolsters ensure that you’re well supported by the seat and provide an experience like no other.
What’s more, the 4-dimensional adjustable armrests allow the chair to be perfectly adjusted to each individual’s morphology and…
They’re very much appreciated (as well as being quite rare on a gaming chair).
It’s also surprising that, despite intensive use, it holds up very well and doesn’t wear out (neither the upholstery nor the foam).
Assembly is very easy, and the parts are of good quality and very well packaged.
No risk of receiving a chair that’s been damaged by poor packaging!
This is a highly recommended model, and should you ever have even the slightest problem, the after-sales service is excellent and very attentive.
There’s the Empire Gaming 700.
However, the armrests are only adjustable in 2D vs. 4D for the klim esport, the frame is metal and the foam is high-density like the klim (although a little less qualitative on the empire gaming 700)!
However, the backrest swivels up to 180° vs. 160°, but the maximum weight is 120kg vs. 150kg.
So I’d only recommend it if you can’t afford the klim esports, because it’s a great deal.
Read the Empire Racing 700 review.
There’s the Akracing Nitro!
The armrests are adjustable in 2D vs. 4D for the klim, cold foam vs. high-density foam, the backrest swivels up to 180° vs. 160°, and the maximum weight is 150kg for both chairs.
I don’t recommend it over the klim esports.
Read my review of the Akracing nitro here.
And finally, the Oraxeat MX800!
Its foam is high-resilience and 75kg/m3, both have 4D adjustable armrests, accept up to 150kg and have a backrest that swivels up to 160°.
Nevertheless, in terms of budget and sturdiness, the klim remains more attractive.
Read my review of the MX800 here.
The klim esports is perfect for demanding gamers who…
Need comfort to accompany them during their long hours of gaming, and are health-conscious, wanting to avoid backache and lumbar problems.
With its 4D adjustable armrests, allowing the chair to be set to perfection, its very comfortable high-density foam, its excellent materials…
The klim esports is a great choice for gamers seeking absolute comfort and a top-of-the-range, quality chair.
