The Maxnomic Leader Executive Edition is one of the best Maxnomic chairs in L size.
For me, it far surpasses the Leader and Commander, but…
You might hesitate between this one and the Quadceptor, which might appeal to you thanks to its oval upholstery on the seat and back.
For the record, the Maxnomic brand was created in 2011 in Germany with the aim of creating high-end gaming seats.
And I can assure you that this goal has been achieved!

It’s been specially designed for long, intense gaming sessions.
If you play several hours a day, this is the chair for you.
But if you play for less than an hour or two…
I’d recommend a gaming chair that’s better value for money and more suitable for shorter periods of use.
Size-wise, it’ll suit you if you’re between 1m70 and 1m90 tall, with a recommended maximum weight of 130kg, but which can go up to 150kg.
Note that you can still choose the size of the piston in S, M and L (this will influence the height to which the chair can be raised or lowered).

It’s made of high-density cold foam.
What does this mean for you?
For one thing, it means you won’t sweat in summer, and for another, the chair’s foam will always return to its original shape very quickly.
This means it will hold up well over time, making it a good investment.
In terms of firmness, I have to say it’s very firm.
Which is good news for avoiding back problems, as firmness is perfect for that.
The only small fault is that I couldn’t find the precise density of the foam.
As for the seat, the brand’s choice on this chair was not to use a seat support…
To give you more space and freedom, you can even sit on it crouched down without any problem.
As for the backrest, the pronounced side cheeks provide good support, forcing you into a good sitting position.
It’s also pleasant to feel supported by the backrest, as if the chair were an extension of your body!
The highlight of this chair is its off-center rocking mechanism.
This is a rarity on gaming chairs, which are normally content with a centered rocking mechanism.
The off-center rocking mechanism is better suited to longer periods of use.
while the centered rocking mechanism is more suitable for shorter periods of use.
So you see, if you’re a gamer who spends a lot of time sitting down, this is the mechanism for you!
Nevertheless, I know that some people don’t like the rocker, and you can block it if you need to.
However, I recommend that you don’t block the tilt system, as it’s very important for your back.
If you block it, you’ll be forcing your back into the same position all the time and…
Make the same muscles support the sitting position constantly, which is bad for you.
What is a Class 4 gas cylinder?
This is the highest possible class in cylinders.
This means it’s a cylinder with very good strength and spring force (so it’s easier to raise/lower the chair).
Basically, you won’t have any cylinder problems even over the years.
What’s more, I find it shorter than the usual pistons, and it’s easier to touch the ground with!
And thanks to the different piston sizes, it’s even easier!
And for your blood to circulate properly…
You absolutely must touch the ground when you’re sitting on a gaming chair, so choose the right size!
The Maxnomic Leader Executive Edition is once again a real winner.
The materials used are top quality!
The frame of this gaming chair is made entirely of steel…
This is a very solid and durable material.
The foot cross is made of 70cm-diameter reinforced aluminum, which is both attractive AND sturdy.
This is very rare in gaming chairs, as most brands use nylon! (less sturdy, less durable, less attractive).
Once again, you’re on top of the game: you can’t get much better than 4D armrests.
But what are they actually for?
You can adjust the width of the armrests to suit the width of your shoulders (nobody’s the same).
Ideally, your elbows should be as close to your body as possible.
If need be, you can use the screws under the seat to increase or reduce the armrest spacing by a further 3cm.
You’ll also be able to adjust their height (choose a position where your elbows form a 90° angle), which will take the strain off your shoulders.
And thanks to the padded armrests, your elbows won’t ache either!
They’re also adjustable in angle, so unless you’re an extraterrestrial, when you’re playing, your elbows are generally tilted inwards.
Or your keyboard arm is tilted inwards and your mouse arm is straight.
Then you can adjust them to take account of this posture!
And last but not least, you can adjust them from front to back. I use them mainly to get closer to my desk, or further away!
They’re made of metal (which means they’re very solid), and above all, they’re very stable!
That’s really important if you don’t want to be disturbed while playing, and they don’t move a bit.
What’s more?
Each adjustment is made via a button, so you can’t even jerk them out of place – they really don’t move a muscle!
Last but not least, the tips of the armrests have a molding so you can place your fingers on them (a finger rest).
I’m not sure how useful this is, but it’s a welcome gadget…
Especially useful when you’re watching a film/series and want to get into relaxation mode.
The version I’m presenting to you is the Maxnomic Executive Edition in light blue, and my first observation…
The colors are deep, well realized and there are different sets of blues, which makes the whole thing very pretty visually.
However, this is far from being the only color available.
There are 9 others, ranging from yellow to red! The perfect match for your gamer setup.
What’s more, its sturdy bucket seat construction and meticulous detailing demonstrate the special attention the brand pays to creating its chairs.
For example, you’ll find the Maxnomic logo embroidered on the top of the back of the chair (in the brand’s colors) and on the top of the backrest, this time from the front.
The workmanship is impeccable.
You’ll also find it embroidered on the cushion, inscribed on each of the armrests and even on the covers!
They could have just made cheap plastic covers, but instead they did something clean and personalized.
I also particularly like the fact that there are no holes for the straps of the lumbar cushion (normal since it’s included in the chair) – it’s particularly aesthetic.
For those who like to personalize their chair, there’s an option to add a pseudo, a word, or whatever you like as long as it’s written on the chair!
Choose this option when you place your order.
It’s the perfect option to show a little extra attention if you’re planning to give it as a gift, or to treat yourself and be the only one to have a chair embroidered with your nickname!
Once again, I’m pleasantly surprised – it’s the first time I’ve seen a gaming chair with suede upholstery!
Like fabric, it’s a highly breathable material, so there’s no problem with perspiration or your back sticking to the chair.
However, unlike fabric, suede is clearly much softer and much more pleasant to the touch!
Frankly, it’s much nicer and softer than fabric, and you’re bound to appreciate it.
For a more premium look, other parts are made of high-quality PU leather.
In other words, it’s going to hold up well over time and not end up totally flaking off like the pu leather of low-end gaming chairs!
Secondly, the PU leather/suede distribution on the chair has clearly been well thought out.
In fact, the light blue parts are in suede, which will help to breathe, because as you can see, they’re where the body rests the most.
And the rest, to keep things looking premium and classy, is in PU leather.
What will make you choose the Maxnomic Leader Executive Edition and not another is the lumbar cushion included directly in the chair!
Gone are the days of lumbar cushions that are too big or too small, that just move around and have to be replaced 20 times a day.
Now, thanks to the wheel on the right-hand side of the backrest, you can adjust the thickness of the lumbar cushion already included in the chair!
It’s a huge ergonomic gain, because you can adjust the curvature directly to how you feel best.
You can’t get much better than that.
As for the headrest, it’s a foam cushion with a fabric cover that’s easy to wash and non-slip.
And it’s not fake anti-slip, because it really holds its place and doesn’t move at all once it’s attached.
The cushion is very comfortable, one of the best I’ve tested.
Nevertheless, they could have done better with a memory cushion.
The finish is equally well executed.
The plastic covers and upholstery are of good quality and don’t look cheap, which doesn’t detract from the quality of the chair.
The seams are very clean and neat, regular and solid.
They even used different colors to bring out the beauty of the chair and give it a wonderful style.
I took a photo of the back of the chair, as this is usually where defects show up the most, and you can see that there isn’t a single one – everything is smooth and even.
The castors are quality polyurethane and don’t catch or damage floors.
They don’t seem to retain much dust (a little, but they’re still castors, and less than many other chairs I’ve seen).
In terms of smoothness, they roll well on most surfaces, but…
They’re still standard castors, but you can improve glide by changing them for “roller” castors.
The backrest of the Maxnomic Leader Executive Edition tilts up to 160°, corresponding to an almost reclining position.
However, if you leave the tilting system activated, the chair can recline up to 180°!
Perfect for watching movies or TV series, or just relaxing at the office!
The question you’re all asking:
Is it stable when fully tilted backwards?
Yes, it is, but avoid resting your feet on a surface or leaning on a surface, as you could tip it backwards.
Secondly, I noticed that on this chair, the backrest returns rather gently (not excessively gently, but unlike some other chairs, it returns much less abruptly).
On the right-hand side of the backrest is a knob for adjusting the lumbar cushion included with the seat.
The lever on the right-hand side of the seat adjusts the backrest angle.
On the outside of each armrest is a small knob for raising and lowering.
On the inner side of each armrest you can adjust them by pressing the button, forwards and backwards, and in inclination…
And in the middle of the inner side you’ll find another small knob for width adjustment.
Under the seat there are two levers: the right lever is used to adjust the height of the chair, and the left lever is used to lock or unlock the tilting system.
Again, under the seat there’s a knob for adjusting the chair’s tilting capability to suit your weight.
Already, everything was very well packaged and protected.
In a maxnomic box, you’ll also receive all the tools and screws needed to assemble the chair, and even a plastic glove!
As you can see (this is just one of the pages, there are others), the manual details all the steps involved in assembling the chair, with photos.
Which makes it very easy to assemble.
I’m not much of a handyman, but I had no trouble at all and it took me about 30 minutes.
Even assembling the folder wasn’t complicated, even though I had to do it alone.
And if you don’t like reading, they’ve thought of everything, because there’s a QR code to scan that will take you to a video of the assembly!
So that you don’t have to do all the research and waste time, I’ve researched what other customers have to say about this chair!

But also the firmness of the foam.
That the included lumbar cushion is well adjustable to suit your body (in fact, the fact that it’s included in the chair is clearly unanimously appreciated).
As far as I’m concerned, the suede is a welcome change from the usual gaming chairs.
As for the finger rest, it’s a toss-up: either people really like it, or they’re puzzled by it.
But on the whole, people are very happy with this product.
The Secretlab Titan features 4D armrests, cold foam, a backrest that swivels up to 165°, a lumbar cushion, a magnetized neck cushion and more.
It’s the direct rival of the Maxnomic, but more expensive.
The Klim esports is another rival to the Maxnomic Leader Executive, reclining to 160°, high-density foam, 4D armrests, but no integrated lumbar cushion.
A little less expensive, but you’ll lose out big time.
