Unlike the brand’s other gaming chairs (T1 Race, T3 Rush, Road Warrior), the Corsair TC60 Fabric is more suitable if you want not a gaming chair but…
A gamer’s DESKTOP chair (with all the advantages and disadvantages that implies – I’ll tell you more about this in the review).
However, Corsair, a brand that has specialized in gaming for many years and is well known for its high-end hardware…
Had to make a model adapted to gamers who prefer the “office” look because they hate anything with a “gaming” connotation.
Want to know more about the pros and cons of this model? Then follow me to the end of the review!
Sommaire
Want to know whether or not you should buy the Corsair TC60?
If this is the case and you spend around 5-6 hours a day sitting in your chair, it’s made for you.
If not, simply don’t buy it and go for another model, the T2 Road Warrior for example, or check out my top picks for the best gaming chair!
Physically, you’ll need to be between 1.60 and 1.85 m tall (a little taller isn’t a problem) and weigh no more than 120 kg.
And a little bonus for the road: this Corsair seat is part of my Corsair brand comparison!

The foam density is 55kg/M3, which is what I’m used to seeing from Corsair.
It’s the highest foam density they have (also available on the T3 rush and TC70).
It’s also a pretty high density that you’ll rarely find on other chairs in a similar range.
And just why is dense foam interesting?
It’s interesting because it’s going to last longer. The density of the foam means it’s going to flatten less over the years, so you’re going to be able to keep the chair longer.
So you see your old chair where you can feel the pieces of steel when you sit on it?
That’s low-density foam.
High-density foam will also give you a firmer seat, eliminating back pain.
Clearly, the TC60 is for you if you want to feel free on the chair, and not held down by the edges (side cheeks) of the chair.
On the Corsair TC60, they’re wide and not too pronounced, quite the opposite of basic gaming chairs.
Perfect for you if you like to have plenty of room to sit as you please.
The tilting mechanism of the Corsair is surely something that will make you buy it and not another one.
The synchronous tilt mechanism is very rare on chairs in this range.
In fact, it’s virtually unheard of among gaming chair brands.
Basically, with “normal” tilt mechanisms, the backrest and seat tilt with the same degree of amplitude.
On a synchronized mechanism, so that your feet continue to touch the floor and (similar to what an off-center mechanism allows, but better)…
So as not to cut off circulation in your legs, while avoiding excessive pressure on your hips…
The backrest and seat tilt, but to different degrees.
Ergonomically speaking, it’s very, very good.
I’m a bit disappointed with Corsair, a gas piston only class 3…
I don’t quite understand this choice.
Class 4 gas pistons don’t cost much more and provide more resistance and spring force.
So there’s less trouble getting the chair up and down, but above all less chance of it dropping by itself.
I’m not saying that with this class 3 piston, the chair will drop by itself, but…
It’s a risk compared to all the other chairs in the brand (except the TC70), which have a class 4 piston.
I don’t think the nylon base is very good, it’s the weakest material there is for a chair base.
After all, it’s all relative: given the recommended maximum weight, it shouldn’t be a problem, but still…
In a pinch, it’s a nice touch, as metal can tend to get scratched when you put your feet on it (if you tend to do that, it can be a good argument).
But that’s about it.
As for the frame, it’s made of wood, though of course it’s not 100% wood everywhere, there’s also steel.
The advantage of wood is that it’s lighter, so the chair is lighter and easier to transport, but…
It’s also more environmentally friendly (wood being more environmentally friendly than steel).
Its drawback, however, is that wood is less resistant than steel.
It’s a shame that the armrests on this Corsair model are not adjustable in width.
Given the price, it’s understandable, but you shouldn’t expect too much either.
3D armrests are great, because…
They can be adjusted in height (to relieve tension in your body and especially your shoulders) and angle (to adapt to the angle of your arms… No one plays with straight arms).
And last but not least: from front to back, which is great for moving forwards or backwards, because…
Often, when the armrests are properly adjusted, they bang against the desk, making it difficult to move forward.
It’s all very subjective, but I know it will appeal to some of you.
If you prefer a resolutely more sober chair with an office chair look, the Corsair TC60 is perfect for that.
It’s available in 3 colors (black, white and gray), so you can easily include it in any room.
As this is a chair that’s intended to have a look close to that of an office chair, you won’t find any bright colors like red, purple, etc. You’ll then find the Corsair logo.
The Corsair logo appears at the top of the backrest at the front, and in full letters at the back.
In the sense that the Corsair TC60 Fabric’s aim is to be a gaming chair, the design is a success.
Well, now I’m forced to heap praise on it.
The fabric of the TC60 Fabric is of very, very high quality, and maybe that’s why you’d want to take this chair over any other.
It’s highly breathable, so it won’t make you sweat in summer.
It’s soft, like velvet, and very, very pleasant to the touch and to body contact.
It doesn’t slip, so you can sit comfortably in the chair.
The only fault with the fabric is the same as with all fabrics: if you eat on it, you’ll have to clean it up quickly if you get a stain, but that’s all.
I can understand why there’s no “separate” lumbar cushion, because that would go against the idea of having a chair with an office look.
So the lumbar cushion is directly integrated into the chair, but it’s not adjustable like on the Secretlab Evo (although it must be said that the price is infinitely lower).
This allows you to respect the natural curvature of your back and avoid lower back pain.
But the problem with an integrated, non-adjustable cushion is that if you’re not proportioned in the “standard” way, it’s likely to fall in the wrong place.
The headrest is an accessory, so I don’t have any particular problem with it.
Here you’ll find Corsair’s signature quality:
Another very good point!
Here you’ll be on slightly more “standard” castors, which is what you’ll find on 99% of gaming or office chairs.
The rare exceptions are the T2 Road Warrior and T1 Race with their roller wheels.
The problem with these wheels is that they roll… Too much.
So even though these wheels are standard, they’re already very fluid and roll very well on tiles.
As long as you don’t have any particular need (getting from one desk to another by pushing yourself) you won’t notice the difference.
The most important thing for me is that they don’t leave any marks.
I’ll tell you right now: I hesitated on the note.
In a way, the 180Β° tilt and all that, it’s not compulsory at all, it’s just a plus for those who like to lie down, take naps, etc. without moving from their chair.
But in itself, your bed will always be more comfortable for napping or watching a movie.
And that wouldn’t fit in well with the principle of the chair, which is to have a sort of gaming chair/desk chair hybrid.
So a backrest adjustable up to 105Β° is more than enough in itself.
Under the seat, you’ll find a knob that lets you adjust the chair’s tilting mechanism according to your weight.
You can make tilting difficult or very easy.
On the outside of each armrest you’ll find a knob allowing you to adjust them up and down.
Under the seat you’ll find the lever that allows you to raise/lower the chair, but also locks the backrest at a precise angle.
As its backrest is very (too) easy to assemble, simply fitting into the part that connects it to the seat…
You easily save 5-10 minutes on assembly (normally this is the part that takes the longest to assemble).
In the interests of saving you as much time as possible, here’s a roundup of other TC60 reviews:
So the vast majority of customers are very happy with their purchase!
With the Corsair T1 Race in a similar price range, you get…
A backrest that reclines up to 180Β°, “roller” castors, 4D armrests, also in fabric, but with less high-density foam, a clearly “gaming” style and no synchronous tilt mechanism.
Read my review of the Corsair T1 Chair.
The Corsair T3 Rush, if you’re on a budget and don’t mind the gaming style.
It has 4D armrests, a backrest that reclines up to 180Β° and similar foam density, but it’s made of PU leather and doesn’t have a synchronous tilt mechanism.
Read my Corsair T3 review.
The Corsair T2 Road Warrior again if your budget is higher.
It’s Corsair’s best, with similar foam density, 4D armrests, 170Β° reclining backrest, “roller” castors, off-center (not synchronous) tilt mechanism, but PU leather and very gaming style.
Read the T2 Road Warrior review.
The Corsair T60 Fabric is aimed above all at those who want…
A comfortable chair, with high-quality upholstery, only really useful settings, and at a reasonable price with, above all, a style that’s more office than gaming.
And in this, the challenge is perfectly met.
The styling is very office-like, and the 55kg/m3 high-density foam is very comfortable, with the soft velvet-like fabric…
Perfect if it suits your needs.
