Let me guess…
You want to treat yourself to a DXRacer gaming chair, because thanks to their reputation, that’s what you immediately thought of when you started looking for a chair?
I understand, it’s true that DXRacer has long been regarded as “the staple” of gamer chairs.
The problem is that there are SO MANY different models, it’s hard to find what you’re looking for.
And given the prices, you don’t want to make a mistake:
Is a mesh gaming chair like the DXRacer Air really better?
Should I stick with foam?
Size-wise, how can I be sure that the chair will fit me without being able to try it out first?
And so on.
Don’t worry, I’ve been in this situation just like you, and so I’m going to give you mini-tests for each of the best DXRacer gamer chairs, so you’ll know everything.
So stay tuned and move on!
Sommaire
The main advantage of the DXRacer Air R1S, which makes it number 1 in this ranking, is its mesh lining.
The great thing about mesh is that it’s a very, very breathable material, with lots of little holes to let the air through.
So you’ll never have that awful feeling of sweating and sticking to the back of your chair again.
What’s more, the mesh adapts perfectly to the curves of your body, providing a level of comfort that’s hard to match.
Nevertheless, there are a few shortcomings (yes, otherwise it would be too easy!).
For example, if you tend to play in boxer shorts or shorts, it’s likely to hurt, because you’re going to feel the mesh and that’s not pleasant at all.
However, if you don’t like mesh, or if it doesn’t suit you, the DXRacer Craft is the right alternative!
Then, of course, the mesh coating isn’t the only quality feature on the DXRacer Air!
The integrated lumbar support is also excellent, and can be adjusted by positioning it on the back of the chair and raising/lowering it.
Ideally, it should be positioned just above your waistline (and not everyone is the same size, so you can see how important it is to be able to adjust it!)
It’s very important to have one, because your back is made in such a way that at lumbar level your back is “tucked in”.
And you absolutely must reproduce this effect if you don’t want to suffer after a few hours’ play/work.
Another thing that’s important is the adjustment of the armrests. On a top-of-the-range chair like this, you need 4D armrests.
And this is the case: the armrests are 4D adjustable, so you can adjust them from top to bottom (the right height will take the strain off your shoulders).
Width adjustment (to adapt them to your build, as not everyone has the same shoulder measurements).
Set them at an angle, so you can orient them in the direction of your arms. Unless you’re an extraterrestrial, nobody plays with two arms parallel.
And I love adjusting them from front to back, so you can adapt them to the position you’re going to take.
What you also need to know in terms of ergonomics is that you get a memory foam headrest with your purchase.
In addition to allowing you to rest (while taking advantage of the chair’s 135Β° recline), the headrest is a great way to take care of your body.
And why is that? Well, because the headrest supports your neck and helps you maintain a “neutral” curvature.
The fact that it’s memory-formed is a real bonus, as it will improve your blood circulation and distribute the different points of support.
In short, everything is designed and thought out with your comfort in mind.
Turning now to the materials used on the chair, you’ll see that even here, it’s very good stuff.
The foot of the chair is made of aluminum (the ultimate in strength and sturdiness) and the mesh has been specially worked to be strong and long-lasting.
The rocking mechanism is off-center (the piece of metal under the seat that manages the rocking action), which will bring you far more benefits than a centered mechanism.
First of all, when you tip over, your feet will remain on the ground and won’t fly off into the air. Your lower body mechanics will be preserved and your blood circulation improved!
Next, the recommended body size is 1m80 to 2m00 for 150kg maximum, but if you’re too big you’ll be squeezed by the hard plastic on the sides of the chair, and that’s going to hurt.
So if you’re in that situation, take a look at the next DXRacer on the list!
And finally, I personally recommend it even if you’re 1m70 tall, it’ll fit, but it’ll be complicated if you’re shorter.

Positive points:
Negative points:
The Gladiator G001 is the best DXRacer gaming seat for taller users.
Firstly, because it’s particularly wide compared with the others AND because there are no plastic side cheeks to get in the way like on the DXRacer Air.
However, as for the rest, apart from the coating, which changes to imitation leather, the other features are identical to those of the Air.
So you might be wondering what the difference is between imitation and mesh?
It’s simple: imitation is less breathable, but stronger and easier to maintain and clean than mesh.
However, it must be padded with high-density foam, otherwise it won’t be comfortable.
And guess what?
The foam is indeed high-density foam! Which means that even if you use it 10 hours a day for months on end, it’ll never get packed.
And that’s all the more important as this chair is designed for larger people.
For comfort and to avoid back pain, it’s also important that the foam is firm, which is the case here.
Then, in terms of ergonomics, the features are very similar to those of the DXRacer Air.
For example, the armrests are also 4D, which is top-notch for ergonomics, as it allows you to :
As for the rocker, it’s not centered, but off-center, which is much better than a centered rocker.
This is because the tipping point is at your knees, not at the center of the chair, which means that even when tipping, your feet will still touch the floor.
But that’s not all! Since the tilt is at knee level, you don’t end up with your whole lower body stretched out, and so avoid hip fatigue, etc.
And as an added bonus, it improves blood circulation and prevents heavy legs as much as possible!
And to complete the ergonomic picture, the Gladiator comes with two cushions, one for the neck, the other for the lumbar region.
Both are important, since the neck cushion helps you maintain the “natural” angle of your neck, which is supposed to be neutral (even if these days, with telephones, some of them are curved…).
And the one for the lumbar region is designed to prevent you from having a round back when you’re sitting, so it helps you keep the right curvature in your lumbar region and provides good support so you don’t get tired.
The whole thing is top-notch and necessary for your comfort, without which you’ll be in a lot of pain after 30 minutes or so.
And to finish with the ergonomics, the DXRacer Gladiator’s inclination goes up to 135Β°, which corresponds to a “leaning back” position, but not lying down.
I think that’s enough to give you plenty of leeway to find the position that suits YOU, and also to take a few “rest” breaks.
In terms of materials, it’s also very good, since the wheelbase is made of aluminum (it withstands about 1 tonne of pressure, which is enormous).
The gas strut is class 4, which is the maximum and provides the power to raise the chair, as well as increasing its sturdiness!
And last but not least, you can take the DXRacer Gladiator if you’re between 1m80 and 2m00 tall, as long as you don’t exceed 150kg.

Good points:
Negative points:
Clearly, if you’re wondering why the first three chairs have the SAME NOTES, it’s because they’re strictly identical in terms of quality/comfort/durability.
They’re all the same, except that the Air is mesh, the Gladiator is aimed at larger players, and the DXRacer Craft is aimed at “normal” garabits, making it a good alternative for those who don’t want a mesh DXRacer gaming chair.
However, the DXRacer Craft gaming chair does have an extra little something that’s really nice: lumbar support integrated and adjustable directly into the chair.
Yes, there’s a headrest included with the DXRacer Craft (which helps keep your neck in a neutral position and provides extra support to enhance your comfort)… But there’s no lumbar cushion.
And that’s because it’s directly integrated into the chair and is depth-adjustable. Which makes the Craft a very good competitor to the Quersus gamer chairs.
The big advantage with this is that, as it’s not an “external” cushion, you won’t need to readjust it 15 times a day, so it won’t move and will give you flawless support all day long.
Then, apart from these few peculiarities, the other features are very similar to the other two Dxracer chairs.
For example, the armrests are, of course, 4D (fortunately, at this price too).
In short, it’s great because they’re height-adjustable (the aim is to take the strain off your upper body by resting your elbows).
In width, so you don’t have to stretch just to rest your elbows on them.
In orientation, so that the armrests follow the orientation of your arms.
Front to back, to adapt to the position you’re in (a little further forward when you’re concentrating, and back when you’re relaxing).
Another very positive feature, given the price, is that the tilting mechanism is off-center.
As I’ve already said, this is excellent for the blood circulation in your legs, for preserving your lower body AND for keeping your feet on the ground all the way through the rocker.
As well as the fact that having a rocking mechanism is important so that it’s not always the same muscles supporting your whole body all the time.
Then, as with other DXRacer models, the tilt goes up to 135Β°, so it won’t be ideal if your aim is to take naps/sleep on your DXRacer seat, but…
If what you’re interested in is simply finding an adequate and comfortable seated reclining posture, it’ll do just fine.
In terms of materials, the base is made of aluminum (the best there is, since it withstands about 1 ton of pressure).
The foam is high-density, so you’ll keep the comfort of day one, every day, and the foam won’t sag.
Size-wise, it won’t fit if you’re very tall, since the recommended height is 1m60 to 1m85 for a maximum of 150kg.
Good points:
Negative points:
When I say it’s a cheap dxracer chair, I mean it’s on a par with what DXRacer has to offer, of course.
Of course, since the price is almost halved, you’ll lose a few settings.
For example, the tilting mechanism is not off-center, but centered.
This isn’t so good for your legs and blood circulation, and your feet won’t touch the ground when you rock.
Nevertheless, it’s still better than a fixed chair, because the rocker allows your body to change and vary its support points.
As a result, you’ll feel less pain and be able to sit for longer.
Secondly, compared with other DXRacer chairs, the armrests are 3D adjustable, not 4D.
So you won’t be able to adjust the orientation (angles) of the armrests according to the position of your arms.
However, the other adjustments are still there, so you’ll be able to adjust their height (as I said, this is good for your upper body, so it doesn’t rest in a vacuum and has support).
You can also adjust their width, which is good for adapting them to your build and thus increasing comfort.
And then, from front to back, to adapt them to your current position.
As for the inclination, there’s no difference with the other three: it’s still 135Β°, which is just right for you to find the inclination that suits you best.
Then, and it’s very important to have at least this when it’s not integrated, the headrest and lumbar cushion are offered.
It’s essential for your lumbar region (lower back) to be “pushed” forward so as not to suffer after a few minutes sitting, and also essential to have support so as not to tire too quickly in this area.
For the nape of the neck, it’s a little more optional, but it’s still very useful in forcing you to maintain a neutral position, which is ergonomic and suitable for many hours of sitting.
And to my great surprise, despite the price, the materials are still very good, even on this DXRacer gaming chair!
The base is aluminum, which is great considering the pressure it can withstand at a single point, and less surprisingly, the foam is high-density.
There’s no point in buying a gamer seat if it doesn’t have high-density foam.
Without it, the foam will end up compressed after a few months of use, but here, you’ll keep its initial comfort for years!
Secondly, the PU leather used has been specially crafted to be tough and durable.
So you won’t have any problems with leather tearing and disintegrating.
And last but not least, this DXRacer gamer seat is for you if you’re between 1.45 and 1.85 m tall, as long as you don’t exceed 150kg.
Read the DXRacer Formula F08 review.
Positive points:
Negative points:
I’m not going to prevaricate too much on this model, as it’s clearly not worth the effort compared to other models.
The armrests are only adjustable in 1 dimension, i.e. height only.
This is the minimum to support your upper body, but very disappointing when compared to the other DXRacer gamer chair, the F08, which has 3D armrests.
Secondly, like the F08, the tilt mechanism is centered, which isn’t the best, and I’ve already explained why in the F08 mini-test.
Like the F08, the foam is high-density, which is important if you don’t want your buttocks to end up resting on steel.
Both cushions are offered, and I imagine that if you’ve read this entire article, you’ve more than understood why this is so important, so I won’t repeat myself.
However, the base (the leg of the chair) is made of nylon, which is one of the least sturdy materials for a chair base.
Then, like the other DXRacer chairs, the backrest tilt is 135Β°, which leaves you plenty of room to adapt it to the posture you feel most comfortable with.
As you can see, this DXRacer chair isn’t worth the price compared to the much better F08, so I wouldn’t recommend it.
Especially as the recommended sizes are identical, i.e. from 1.45 m to 1.85 m for 150 kg maximum.
So you’re better off with the F08 than this one…

If you have further questions about the DXRacer brand, or need more than just a rating, this is the place!
So my review of DXRacer France is pretty straightforward:
Delivery is very fast, the packaging is well cared for and the parts are protected.
Assembly is simple and nicely explained.
The after-sales service is very responsive and won’t let you down if you have any problems.
Turning to more brand-related matters, DXRacer has been around since 2005 and has a huge reputation in the gaming chair world.
It’s all they do, and all they’ve ever done, so DXRacer has enormous expertise in the field.
My overall opinion is therefore very good, the only flaw being their prices, which tend to be high.

Clearly the #1 depends on your morphology, but if you’re not fat (in this case go dxracer gladiartor) and you’re looking for an ergonomic AND gaming chair, the DXRacer Air surpasses all.
It’s got it all: integrated lumbar support, 4D armrests, good mesh upholstery, up to 135Β° recline, off-center tilt mechanism, and more.
And knowing that most of you spend easily more than 50% of your day awake while sitting… It would be a waste not to take care of your health by investing in quality.
You use your chair even more than you use your phone, yet it’s a safe bet that your phone cost you a certain amount of money, and what’s more, it doesn’t improve your health any more than a chair does.
