With Robas Lund MC Racing, DXRacer promises gamers a gaming chair that prioritizes comfort, ergonomics AND accessibility.
Unlike other DXRacer chairs, the Robas Lund MC Racing is designed to be both comfortable and accessible.
This is a brand with many years’ experience and investment in the manufacture and development of increasingly comfortable and high-quality gaming chairs.
The brand’s main aim is to produce top-quality gaming chairs of impeccable design.
So don’t delay, you’re about to get a full description!
Sommaire
This gaming chair was designed for gamers who spend a minimum number of hours on their computer/console, but clearly not for hardcore gamers.
If you play a little less than 4-5h/day, you should be fine!
If you’re approaching 10h/day, you’re not the target audience for this chair.
However, if you really don’t spend much time sitting down, I’d advise you to buy a gamer bean bag.
It’s less expensive, and much more comfortable for short-term use.
I also recommend the DXRacer Robas Lund and my other reviews.
For your body type, you shouldn’t exceed 100kg and be between 1m60 and 1m85 tall.

The foam on the seat and back is firm.
I wasn’t able to find out more information, such as the precise density of the foam, or whether it was high-density foam.
Knowing the density of the foam is important, because if it’s high-density foam…
We already know that it will hold up well over time, and that it won’t sag with use.
The problem with the Robas Lund MC racing is that we’re not given this information.
The side cheeks on the backrest ensure that you’re well seated and centered in the chair, as do the raised sides of the seat.
This is a great feature of gaming chairs with bucket seats, and I like it, because…
I’ve always had a tendency to sit awkwardly on normal chairs, and being “supported” by the sides of the chair prevents this!
You probably already know the importance of the tilt mechanism on a gaming chair.
It’s what keeps your back from aching, with a backrest that follows your back’s movements…
If you lean forward, the chair will follow your movement, and likewise if you lean back.
An ordinary chair like a lounge chair, for example, doesn’t have this option.
This chair allows you to block/unblock this movement, and I obviously recommend that you leave it unlocked to take care of your back.
It’s a real plus, a real advantage.
The gas strut is what provides the chair’s national strength.
Put more simply, it’s what lets you know how long your chair will last in terms of upward and downward force.
The top of the line is the class 4 gas spring.
The problem, once again, is that we’re not given the class of gas strut used on this chair…
So it’s hard to say.
All I can say is that it seems to rise and fall “normally”, albeit a little slowly.
It may be a detail, but the devil is in the details!
This is a very good point: the chair’s structure is made of steel, its skeleton is made of steel.
As you know, steel is a very resistant material.
So it’s good for the strength of the chair’s structure.
It’s quite common on armchairs in this range that the chair’s 5-star foot cross is made of plastic.
Of course, it’s not the best; you could do with something nicer, like aluminum, or something stronger, like steel, for example.
Plastic sometimes looks a bit cheap, but it’s widely used.
They are adjustable in 2 dimensions, i.e. you can adjust them up and down, and also rotate them.
Please note that they are not 3D adjustable, as I may have read.
That they are height-adjustable is the minimum, because…
This will enable you to adapt their height to the size of your desk (because generally your desk isn’t height-adjustable).
The fact that they can be swivelled is a little bonus in my opinion…
Depending on your inclination, when you’re typing on the keyboard, or holding a joystick, you don’t necessarily have your arms straight out, but tilted inwards a little.
Thanks to this ability to swivel them inwards too, you’ll be able to sit all the more comfortably!
The name “Mc Racing” is apt: the curves of the seat are reminiscent of a sports car bucket seat.
The chair is sober, available in multiple colors, yet elegant.
No matter what color you choose, it blends pleasantly into any environment.
Finally, the sense of detail is present, with the “mcRacing” sign on the top of the chair, and also on the two cushions.
The cushions match the color of the armchair you choose.
You have two options, as this chair is available in either fabric or PU leather (leather crust covered in polyurethane).
Fabric is nice because it’s breathable, so in summer you won’t feel as hot as with imitation leather, which isn’t breathable.
On the other hand, textile is annoying because some things stain easily, whereas with imitation it’s easier to clean.
As for comfort, it’s mostly a matter of preference, I think. I prefer the comfort of textile, as it’s softer and less slippery than imitation.
After that, it’s up to you, it’s just my preference.
Textile is good quality, but so is imitation. It’s thick and holds up well over time, so there’s no risk of it cracking very quickly.
After that, if you don’t want to take the risk, you can of course always choose the fabric version, which I prefer!
You’ll have two cushions, made of textile if you choose the textile version of the armchair, otherwise they’ll be made of imitation leather like the armchair.
The lumbar cushion is important to protect the natural curvature of your back, which in addition to increasing comfort…
will help you avoid back problems later on.
The other cushion is a bit of a “bonus” that I don’t necessarily find super-useful, but which is nice – the cushion that goes around the back of your neck.
In both the fabric and imitation versions, the seams are neat, clean, thick and close together.
There’s even a fabric/simili strip, depending on the version, to protect the seams.
This is a good thing for durability, because if the seams give way, the chair loses a lot of durability.
I really like the castors, which, even if they don’t necessarily exude solidity, are pretty decent.
After all, I’ve seen much better in terms of smoothness and rolling.
They don’t catch on any type of ground, and their glide won’t bother the normal user.
They’re just a little fragile.
It tilts up to 155° backwards, which corresponds to a quasi-recumbent position.
Depending on the situation, this is a nice feature. For example, when watching a movie, a 130° position is quite pleasant.
Beyond that, it’s good too, especially for console gamers, because PC gamers…
Apart from resting, reading or watching a film, we generally like to sit upright in front of the screen.
Ergonomically, it’s like most gaming chairs.
You can adjust everything without getting up from your chair.
On the side of the chair you’ll find a lever that allows you to raise/lower the chair depending on whether you push it up or down.
However, if you pull it to the right or left, you can lock/unlock the rocking mechanism system I mentioned earlier.
Finally, on the side of the armrests you can access a knob to adjust their height, and if you want to angle them…
You can do this without having to press any buttons.
It’s easy to assemble, and there aren’t that many screws to screw in, especially as you won’t need any special tools.
All the same, it takes a good 20 minutes.
I thought it would be nice to give you some opinions other than my own.
Most customers find the seat a little hard, so it’s good to know if you don’t like it.
However, a firm seat is a good thing for people with back problems.
It’s up to you to decide.
The plastic seat covers are a bit “low-end” and some have “play” problems…
I don’t know if this is due to poor assembly or if it’s due to the chair, but some people have this type of problem.
As for the castors, I’ve already said above that they don’t look very solid, and I’m not the only one to notice this.
But don’t forget to correlate these few shortcomings with the price.
As for the rest, the armrests, while also having some play, are welcome because…
Adjustable in 2D and a backrest that reclines up to 155° on this type of range is quite unusual.
The Oraxeat MX800, on this chair we know that the foam has a density of 75kg/m3, adjustable armrests in 4D vs 2D, a maximum weight of 150kg vs 100kg and a swivel backrest up to 160° vs 155°.
If you can afford to upgrade to the range above, I recommend it.
Then there’s the IWMH, with its high-density foam, height-adjustable armrests only vs. 2D, backrest angle of 135° vs. 155°, and maximum weight of 135kg vs. 100kg.
Unless you’re over 100kg, I wouldn’t really recommend this alternative.
Read the IWMH review.
Then there’s the songmics RCG12W, with its cold foam, 2D adjustable armrests too, backrest that swivels up to 160° vs. 155°, maximum weight of 150kg vs. 100kg.
I’d recommend it as a good alternative if you’re over 100kg.
Read the Songmics RCG12W review.
The aim of this chair is to combine comfort and accessibility.
Not everyone can afford a comfortable, multi-adjustable chair, because sometimes they’re not accessible at all.
So as far as these points are concerned, it does its job very well!
