Looking for a cheap gaming chair, but don’t want to end up with a piece of junk?

The Tresko gaming chair is perfect for that.

It’s top-of-the-range in terms of comfort, but at a very affordable price.

That’s the brand’s aim: to make gaming office chairs as affordable as possible, but without neglecting comfort.

When you want to get a good deal, knowing you’re not paying for brand marketing is super important!

Now you’re wondering whether you should buy it, what it’s worth?

Well, stick with me, because I’m going to let you in on all its little secrets.

Which gamer is the Tresko gaming chair for?

gaming chair tresko review

If you’re not a pro gamer, looking for “THE” chair with all kinds of adjustments like a backrest that swivels 180° or 4D armrests…

BUT you simply want a comfortable, durable gaming chair on which to play quietly…

You’ve come to the right place!

If you’re a pro gamer who spends hours and hours sitting on your gaming chair, and you’re willing to spend the budget to get a really good one…

I recommend the Klim Esports chair, or my ranking, which will help you find the best gaming chair. (Sensitive souls please refrain, because the price hurts the eyes).

Size-wise, it’ll suit you if you’re between 1m40-1m80 and weigh no more than 120kg.

Over 1m85, it starts to get complicated and you’ll feel cramped.

The Tresko gaming chair: a good deal?

Foam density not specified

Why is knowing foam density a good thing?

Because it gives you an idea of the foam’s durability.

The denser it is, the more the foam will return to its original shape once you stand up.

So if you have low-density foam, it will eventually collapse and lose all its comfort.

You’ll even feel the structure of the chair under your buttocks.

Well, I’m not surprised: this is common to every entry-level gaming desk chair.

They almost never display the density of the foam.

So you have to go by feel, and I quickly realized that, fortunately, the foam doesn’t sag with use.

So it’s a quality foam, but they could have specified the exact density…

Slightly pronounced side cheeks

The chair is slightly curved on the sides of the backrest and seat, so you’re better supported in the chair.

It’s a real plus for comfort, because personally I tended to slouch and sit in any old way.

And I find that this kind of support helps a lot to avoid ending up twisted in your chair.

Tilting mechanism

Now that’s really top-notch, and the cool thing is that it’s a setting that’s super common on every gaming office chair!

Basically, the backrest and chair follow the movements of your back as you lean forward or backward.

This is great for your back, as it means you don’t have to be fixed in place, and your lumbar vertebrae don’t have to bear the full weight of your body for too long.

Ideal for gaming sessions lasting several hours.

SGS-controlled gas springs

The gas strut is what gives you the power to raise/lower your chair.

On the Tresko, the class of the gas spring is not specified.

But it works well and they usually always put class 4 gas springs on a play seat.

However, I’m taking away one star for the lack of transparency.

I’m not going to lie to you, I’m quibbling a little, because we’ve got a very good indication: it’s SGS inspected (in short, it’s a sure sign of quality).

Metal frame and nylon foot crosses

The fact that the Tresko gaming chair is made of metal is a very good thing.

Metal is strong and durable, yet lightweight.

For a cheap gaming chair, that’s a very good point.

The chair’s leg cross is made of nylon, a common feature for any chair at this price.

In short, it’s not the most resistant material, but as long as you don’t exceed 120kg on the chair…

It’s not likely to break, as it’s clearly strong enough for that.

So you’re on the right materials.

Armrests are not adjustable

Quite normal for this price…

The armrests are not adjustable!

This means that the armrests are fixed.

Having armrests is the minimum requirement for comfortable sitting, and being able to adjust them means you can adapt the height of the armrests to your desk and your position.

Many people manage to do without this type of adjustment, and it’s something that doesn’t bother console gamers at all, for example (armrests are a little less useful when you’re playing a console game).

However, these armrests are high quality and super comfortable, because they’re padded with foam!

Bucket seat design in 14 different colors

The Tresko gaming chair design is a kind of hybrid between the office chair and the sports bucket seat…

It’s immediately obvious.

So it’s easy to match to your interior, especially as it’s available in 14 colors ranging from purple to yellow.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for…

There’s nothing more I can do for you!

On the more “technical” side, the seat is pretty and doesn’t look cheap…

Unlike some other seats available at the same price in supermarkets (whose names I won’t mention).

There are better products out there, like the Empire gaming 700, but at prices 3-4 times higher.

Covered in imitation leather and fabric

In the case of the Tresko gaming chair, the covering is made of good-quality imitation leather.

Unlike commercially available chairs, the chair won’t end up flaking/half-destroyed after a year.

So that’s a good point for durability.

What’s more, it’s soft and pleasant to the touch.

The other benefit of faux leather is that if you have a tendency to stain your seat…

Imitation leather is super easy to clean.

Just wipe with a cloth and it’s gone.

However, the chair is also made of fabric in some places.

But why?

Well, because fabric, unlike imitation leather, is highly breathable and more comfortable, especially in summer, so you won’t sweat too much on your chair!

That’s why there’s fabric on both the back and the seat, so you get the best of both worlds.

No cushions on Tresko office chairs

Mid/high-end chairs are always sold with a lumbar cushion and a neck cushion.

This isn’t the case with the Tresko gaming chair, but given its price, it’s only to be expected.

However, they’ve even made up for it by adding a padded headrest (something absent from mid/high-end chairs).

This compensates for the lack of neck cushion.

They’ve also compensated for the lack of lumbar cushion by directly curving the chair.

So you shouldn’t even need to add cushions, but I’m forced to give it 0 stars, since there aren’t any!

Clean seams and finishes

Although the seams aren’t very aesthetic (a white thread running the length of the chair)…

They’re tight and regular.

The real flaw is that the white thread is really ugly.

I don’t know if they were going for style, but a black thread that hides with the chair’s upholstery would have been great.

Quality castors without more

They’re good castors in the sense that they’re solid, roll well and don’t stick to the floor.

Nevertheless, for those who like to have exceptional fluidity and juggle from desk to desk…

You’re going to be rather limited, because although it rolls well, it doesn’t roll as well as some chairs with roller wheels!

I’m quibbling a little, and for the budget it makes sense not to have such wheels, but at least you’re informed!

The backrest is not adjustable

Apart from the tilting mechanism that allows the backrest to tilt back and forth a little, you won’t be able to adjust the inclination of the backrest, as it’s fixed.

In itself, this isn’t a problem, since most ergonomic seats at prices in excess of 4 figures don’t allow you to tilt the backrest.

It’s mainly an accessory for those who never leave their seat and want to be able to lie on it.

And above all, on this range, it’s normal.

Easy to adjust

I’ll explain several of the settings:

The wheel under the chair adjusts the rocking mechanism, making it more or less sensitive according to your weight.

So if you’re light, adjust the wheel “sensitively”.

The lever on the right-hand side adjusts the height of the chair, and if you pull it towards you, you’ll be able to take advantage of the tilting mechanism.

If you push it, you’ll block the tilting mechanism and make the chair “fixed”, so it won’t move a muscle.

Very quick and easy to assemble

I’m far from a DIY enthusiast and it took me barely 10 minutes to assemble.

It’s really easy to assemble and the guide is well explained.

Unboxing the Tresko gaming chair

Here are some unbiased customer reviews

I’ve scoured the internet to bring you reviews from other customers, not just my own.

(It’s always better to have more than one).

Want to know what I found?

Most agree that the price is much better than the seats you find in shopping malls.

As I said, the chair isn’t suitable if you’re tall (1m80+), as people find it too small in that case.

Comfort also comes up a lot: in addition to its very affordable price, it has a superb seat.

You’ll be able to sit comfortably in front of your computer and play without your back hurting!

Assembly takes an average of 10-30 minutes and is reputedly easy.

It’s a very popular chair, so it’s even easy to find tutorials on the Internet on how to assemble it!

Some nice alternatives

arozzi enzo review

The Arozzi Enzo, but its armrests are not adjustable like the Tresko, and its backrest is also fixed.

The only real difference is that the Arozzi Enzo specifies the density of the foam (high-density foam) but only supports a maximum weight of 105kg vs. 120kg for the Tresko.

I recommend it only if transparency is important to you and you have the budget.

songmics rcg12w 1.jpg

The Songmics RCG12W! Once again, the Tresko is so well-priced, I’d only recommend the Songmics if you have the budget.

The RCG12W has 2D adjustable armrests vs. the Tresko’s fixed ones, high resilience foam, a maximum weight of 150kg and a backrest that reclines up to 135°.

A good choice if you’ve got the money.

tectake tyson 1.jpg

Tectake is Tresko’s rival brand.

Its armrests aren’t adjustable either, its backrest doesn’t recline, there’s no information on the density of the foam and it only accepts loads up to 120kg.

Basically, what really changes is the shape of the armrests.

Where can I buy the Tresko gaming chair?

With all the gaming chairs out there, it’s really hard to make a choice and find a good deal.

What’s more, even though chairs are usually cheaper online than in stores, you can’t test them out before you buy them, which adds to the difficulty.

That’s why finding a cheap, comfortable gaming chair is super hard.

However, the Tresko gaming chair is not only affordable, it’s also very comfortable and long-lasting. It’s not a piece of junk you’re going to have to change every year because it’s worn out!
